Don't like to contradict Alf Rider but I was fortunate to be with Keith Sealy and Dave Verkely today as the Hawk Cliff count was carried out on the Sparta Ridge, almost 4KM from the lake. We had over 1000 birds, including 4 Bald and 4 Golden Eagles and a really neat dark-phase Red-tailed Hawk (not Calurus). The flight was steady from 10:30AM to 2PM Daylight time, then tapered off.
