This notion was however dispelled when heavier clouds and showers moved into the area, effectively shutting down the flight early. Observations: Most interesting was the sighting of a swallow seen twice in mid morning that was probably but not conclusively IDed as a Cave Swallow. Perhaps because of the overcast and poor lighting conditions at the time, the bird appeared to be too dark on the throat for that species and not unlike the familiar Cliff Swallow, the sighting of which would be very much out of season. It is certainly worth watching for in the coming days. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
