Observations: What might have been a substantial flight, particularly after the clouds of the last several days, was pushed largely to the north under the influence of the southeast wind. Certainly the highlight of the day for those assembled was the low fly-over of a juvenile Golden Eagle passing directly over the boat launch. The swallow that was seen yesterday was observed again but still appeared to have a rather dark throat for a Cave Swallow, even in todays improved light conditions, so perhaps just a late Cliff Swallow after all. Also on the late side was the sighting of several Monarchs. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
