Winds were light and generally from the north but oscillated somewhat from northwest to northeast. Observations: The flight was spread out with many birds crossing to the north but many as well coming directly off the lake and overhead. Many of those assembled were pleased to get excellent views of several of the more cooperative Golden Eagles and Rough-legs. And the vultures still go on, and on, and on! Perhaps the most spectacular highlight was an overhead view of an adult dark morph Red-tail. As with the flight on the 6th, the flight ran into the early evening with Red-tails, Rough-legs and Harriers still on the move as the sun sank low. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
