Hi All, Yesterday proved a good day for Hawks and Eagles over our yard as we were working. This morning is also off to a great start with 15 Red-tails and one Rough-legged so far during breakfast. Time to update already! Vicki just shouted from the back deck with another Golden Eagle.
Birds yesterday included: Sharp-shinned, Cooper's, Red-tailed, Red-shouldered, Bald Eagles (maybe the local resident) and three Golden Eagles ( Two immature and one full adult). We also had a Merlin hunting the big flocks of blackbirds all afternoon. Great aerial acrobatics! There were also several large kettles of Turkey Vultures and one hang glider flying mid concession! It was cold on the ground, I can't imagine what it is like up 2,000 feet!
