Betsy checked the area below Niagara Falls from Goat Island, NY for a brief period around noon. There were lots (1000's?) of Bonaparte's there but she was unable to find anything else. I made a brief check of the Peace Bridge area from Buffalo around 3:00. It is difficult to thoroughly check the river from the NY side. However, I could see that there were a couple thousand Bonaparte's Gulls and two adult Little Gulls in the area of the first pulloff downriver from the Peace Bridge on the Ontario side (i.e. across the river from me).
The winds are forecast to stay fairly strong tonight before decreasing to 15-25 mph tomorrow. This should keep most of the gulls in the river tomorrow. Good gulling!
