On thursday nov 20th at 1:00 pm myself and two other birders found the Purple Sandpiper that was reported on nov 18th. The bird was feeding on and around the highest mounds of algae on the west side of Lion's point. The bird blended in with the algae so it was not easy to spot at first. Lion's point is located about 1km east of the mouth of Duffin's creek at Rotary park.

Directions: To get to Lion's point take the 401 to Westney rd. in Ajax. Go south on Westney to Lake Driveway w, turn right on Lake driveway and follow it until you come to the first parking lot on your right at Rotary park. Park here and go west about 1km along the paved path to Lion's point.
