Hi Ontbirders,

Today, Kevin McLaughlin and I birded the Niagara River. The adult California Gull is easy to see on the rocks on the left side close to the American dam. It was in the same spot yesterday, today and last weekend.

Also seen at Adam Beck
2 adult and 2 second basic Thayer's Gulls
4 adult Kumlien's Iceland Gulls ranging from almost no pigmentation in the wingtips to darker gray
1 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull

Above the Falls
2 adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls
1 injured Brant

Directions
Directions: From QEW take 405 to Niagara River Parkway. Turn right for about 1.5 km to the Adam Beck lookout. Then follow the Niagara River Parkway south to Chippewa, stopping anywhere you can park to see the river.

Happy gulling,

Jean
