For the first time this fall, Common Redpolls are in several places near
the lighthouse at Presqu'ile Provincial Park, mostly feeding on birch
catkins. Among them is one Hoary Redpoll. It was first seen on the
lake side of 186 Bayshore Road at about 11 a.m. and was back there at
11:30 a.m.
To reach the Park, follow the signs from Brighton. Once in the Park,
make no left or right turns but continue straight on to Bayshore Road,
which is marked "dead end", "residential", no entry to park, or similar
warnings.
