Posting for Barry Cherriere Today from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Barry and Linda Cherriere while looking for the Barrows Goldeneye, noted a large bird sitting on the water at a distance. Scoping the bird, it turned out to be a Northern Gannet preening. It remained for about 1/2 hour and then flew east. Just a heads up that one is floating around our neck of the lake.
Sayers Park Going east on the QEW Niagara exit at Gray's Road. Go towards the lake (north) and turn right at Lakegate. The park is on Lakegate Ave. Coming from Niagara you will have to exit at Fruitland and follow the North Service Road to Grays. The Barrows was not present at that time. Cheers, Cheryl Edgecombe for Barry "Cheryl Edgecombe" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Visit http://www.ofo.ca/ontbirdsguide.htm for information on leaving and joining the list.
