To be devil's advocate... Unless someone heard the Cayuga Gray Flycatcher's distinctive vocalization, not the "whit" call, I don't know how anyone can call this bird a Gray Flycatcher, based on the photo submitted to OntBirds. For that matter, can it be called any specific Empidonax at all?
