In case there is a CBC going on in the area, there was a (pretty miserable looking) GBHE sitting on a rock in the river around noon today, not far North of the RR Bridge. It was accompanied by a number of common merganser pairs.

In addition the woods yielded 2 brown creepers, hairy and downy (many) woodpeckers, several white-breasted nuthatch, a few Am. tree sparows, a number of house finch (some singing!), Am. goldfinch, and what appeared to be a lone pine siskin. The paths are pretty treacherous with a thin cover of snow over rough ice.
