Jim Mountjoy requested that I post the following observation that he made: 'Today (Saturday Dec. 27th) I observed a Red-throated Loon from the Britannia Filtration Plant in the west end of Ottawa. The bird was downstream (east) from the plant and close to the ice edge near the Ontario shore. (A distant Common Loon could also be seen from the same point, on the Quebec side of the river.)'
