Sunday's mild day was wonderful for driving and walking, but the birds were
not abundant between the Rouge R. and Lakeridge Rd. and from the lakefront
to concession 10 in Pickering. The 10 sectors were traversed by 25 people
who supplied the data to Alan Woods in the late afternoon.
TOTALS--16,980 individuals of 60 species. "Good" birds were: RUFFED

On the lakefront-- 858 Scaup spp., 3 Ring-necked Duck, 1672 Mallard, 24
Black D., 13 Trumpeter Swans,
11 Mute Swans, 280 Bufflehead, 123 C.Goldeneye, 1 D-cr. Cormorant, 81
Longtailed Ducks, 19 Red-breasted Mergansers, 78 C.Mergansers, 1 Hooded
Merganser, 9 Gadwall.
