Last time I saw numbers like this at the base of Appleby Road in
Burlington was around 1995. Tens of thousands of waterfowl spread out
between Burloak and Walkers Road Saturday late afternoon. Majority
were Scaup with a large percentage apparently Lesser Scaup. Also in
large numbers were Long-tailed Duck with Scaup. Surprised not see
Scoters.

There were very few ducks and lots of ice in Stoney Creek.

Directions Appleby Road is an exit on the QEW. Exit south and
continue south past Lakeshore Road to the last.
