While out skiing today (conditions were excellent) I encountered a flock of
25 Bohemian Waxwings along the ski trail near Summerstown just east of
Cornwall. With the scattered reports coming in from across the province
this weekend, it looks like a modest late winter movement is in the works.
There were also 2 Robins, rare here this winter, and a flock of Common
Redpolls. No Hoarys. I viewed a Cooper's Hawk from 50 feet as it eyed a
couple of feeders along Rae Road.

To get to the ski area at Summerstown (must have cross-country skiis to
access), exit the 401 at Summerstown east of Cornwall. Head north about 1.5
km and the public forest sign is on the left. The birds were about 1/2 hour
in on the south side.

Rae Road is just east of Cornwall, accessed off hwy. 2. The bird and
feeders were on top of the hill.
