Birders,

Birding Essex County yesterday, at 11 am there were three (3)
rough-legged Hawks hunting in the fields off Highway 3 heading to Pelee from
Windsor.
Road 27 that intersects and leads to Cottom there is a huge field where we
noticed 3 Rough-legged Hawks and an adult male Northern Harrier sharing hunting
grounds. All giving us a great show.

We headed to Hillman Marsh in late afternoon close to sunset. On our way out
to the Lake on Medsea Rd 2 we noticed a cottage had placed seed in a feeder
and birds were everywhere: Red-winged Blackbirds: male, female and SYM,
Cowbirds both male & female, many Cardinals, Tree Sparrows, Mourning Doves and
a
lonely Bluebird all having a feeding frenzy. And, a mature Bald Eagle along
with
an adult male Northern Harrier farther down the road.
