Birders,
Today after I got home from school there was a mixed flock of Cedar and
Bohemian Waxwings eating berries on our property. There were 2 Bohemians
and about 20 Cedars.
Before school I went to look for the Snowy Owl found by Jonathan
Brubacher last weekend just north of Linwood. The snowy was sitting on a
large hydro pole beside the first sideroad off of the 4th line.
I have pictures of both of these two species on my website @

Directions for SNOW: take line 86 west out of Elmira to the village of
Macton, at Macton turn right on the Center Side road, go to the 4th line
(two roads north of the 86) go left on the 4th line and look for the
Snowy around the first sideroad on the left in the fields.
for BOWA: coming north on hwy 85 from Waterloo get off on the second
King Street exit go towards St. Jacobs and continue to Lobsinger line,
take this road to Heidelberg until the Arthur Rd, turn down Arthur and
our house is the big old house (#70). The waxwings were in the backyard.
