Hello, This afternoon I found 4 Short-eared Owls on Earl Armstrong Rd south of our airport. They were hunting both sides of the road there.
I also found an adult male Snowy Owl on the south side of the same section, sitting on a fence post at the back of the field there, about 1/2 way between the "s" curve and the large bush towards the ditch that cuts the fields in 2. Earl Armstrong Rd can be found by taking Limebank Rd off River Rd, south of Hunt Club at the bridge, or turning off Albion Rd onto High Rd at the Racetrack/Slots, and following Earl Armstrong until past Bowesville Rd.
