Just coming in from a walk thru the neighbour and got a new bird for myself.
We flushed about 8 Common Snipe from the wet fields just across the road from the Windsor Outlet Mall. The interesting thing is the sparseness of the habitat. A scrubby field bordering a development area and a field of corn stubble. Surprising ! I imagine this is a not too difficult a bird to find right now if one were to search similar wet field habitats.
