WOLFE ISLAND [page 36, quad E57]

Duncan Gow reported for Mar. 28, '04: "I took the ferry from Kingston to
Wolfe Island and back. At Wolfe Island I saw 14 TURKEY VULTURES swirling up
together several hundred feet before they headed north across the lake. Over
a period of 30 minutes I saw 25 Turkey Vultures make their way north across
to the mainland. Just after the boat left Wolfe Island I spotted around 40
SNOW GEESE (white morph) heading east in a line about 40 feet above the
water. They were spectacular in the full sun and appeared to gain elevation
and break their single line formation as they headed over the east end of
Wolfe Island.
