Dear Fellow Birders,

Not having seen any recent reports for the Leslie St Spit, I thought I would
post some good birds that have been seen recently: Whip-poor-will, Yellow
Warbler, Palm Warbler, Pine Warbler, House Wren, Winter Wren, Blue-gray
Gnatcatcher, Glaucous Gull, Dunlin, Rough-legged Hawk, Rusty Blackbirds, and
Purple Finch.

Directions: Follow the Gardiner Expressway east past the DVP until it turns
into Lakeshore Rd, then turn right at Leslie St. There is parking at the end of
the road.

Hello Ontbirders -

An adult breeding plumage Yellow-crowned Night Heron was
located behind 643 Point Pelee Drive at 6:45pm Sunday,
Apr. 25th., and is currently (7:15 pm) feeding on wet ground behind
that address. This location is 2 doors from Pelee Wings Nature
Store, and across the street, approx 2 km north of Point Pelee
National Park. Public access is available from Mersea Park,
2 doors away from 643 Pt Pelee Dr, where one can easily view
the inhabitants' back-yard. As this is private property, please do
not trespass, but view from the public park.

Good birding -
