Point Pelee Report for May 18 (Tuesday)

After last night's rain, things were slow at the Tip once more. Birds reported
at the Tip included Blue-winged Warbler, Northern Mockingbird, Canada Warbler,
Northern Parula, Blackpoll Warbler, Yellow-throated Vireo, Ruddy Turnstone and
Caspian Tern.

A first-year male Kirtland's Warbler was found at 11:00 a.m. yesterday in the
middle section of the Woodland Nature Trail (Alfred Adamo). Today the bird was
refound and is now singing -- just north of the Visitor Centre on the bike
trail, near the Cactus Display.

A Summer Tanager was located along the road just north of the tram loop.

A non-singing Connecticut Warbler was found in the Tip Loop Woods.

Yesterday afternoon a Laughing Gull was at NW Hillman Marsh, within the
shorebird habitat pond.
