Some of the current birds are generating a lot of excitement.

There are a couple of points everyone posting should be aware of.

ONTBIRDS is currently experiencing a 45 to 60 minute delay in transmission.
Technical support has been alerted and is working on it. If you have
recently sent a message to ONTBIRDS and not received it, wait. It will be
sent. You can confirm your message by visiting our archives at

http://mailman.hwcn.org/pipermail/ontbirds/

The archives are available to everyone, you don't have to be subscribed to
ONTBIRDS to read our archives.

With current time delays it is a good idea to contact people through other
means. If you call someone make sure you state clearly whether a message
has been sent to ONTBIRDS. Try to call local hotlines.

Remember ONTBIRDS is for bird sightings. ONTBIRDS is not a forum for
discussion. If you have questions about a report ask the poster directly.
Do not post questions, comments or opinions to ONTBIRDS. If you are
concerned about the content of a post contact the coordinator (me). All
sewage lagoons have access concerns, common sense and a sensitivity to
local municipal concerns and regulations is needed when visiting a lagoon.

Final note I am doing a Bird Studies Canada Baillie Birdathon for the
Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) this Saturday with Sheldon McGregor,
Donna Sheppard and Jim Watt (alphabetic order) from Long Point to
Oakville-Mississauga. We also have pledges for Hamilton Naturalists' Club
and the South Peel Naturalists' Club. Any reports of lingering migrants
(Juncos, Whitethroats etc) would appreciated (privately not to ONTBIRDS)
