thanks to the posting this morning we had a great, albeit wet, afternoon of
birding at Rattray Marsh, noted were the following: SOLITARY VIREO, BLACK
AND WHITE WARBLER, MAGNOLIA (male & female), BLACK THROATED GREEN, CHESTNUT
SIDED, WILSON'S, REDSTART (male & female), CARDINAL and ORIOLE, all seen
within the walkway south of Bexhill Road to the Marsh, at the secondary
trail that leads up the hill about 100 yds. nw of the waterpower and near
the termus of Boardwalk trail that surrounds the 'knoll'. This location was
very active and would anticipate the same for tomorrow.

Out in the marsh, BL, CROWNED NIGHT HERON, GADWALL and the regulars, as well
as out in the lake off the marsh opening 3 RED NECKED GREBE.

Sue and Dan Suess,
Mississauga

Rattray Marsh can be best most easily be accessed from the south end Bexhill
Road off Lakeshore Boulevard about 0.5 km west of Erin Mills Parkway (just
east of Clarkson).
