Volunteers needed for Coast-to-Coast count of raptors migrating between
North and South America

This autumn Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, together with conservation partners
from The Panama Audubon Society, The Peregrine Fund, The Smithsonian
Institution's Tropical Research Institute, The Metropolitan Parks of
Panama, CESPA (Centro de Estudios y Acci?n Social Paname?o), The Canopy 
Tower Resort, and Gamboa Tropical Resort, will combine their resources
while conducting the first-ever multi-watchsite count of raptors
migrating past the Panama Canal en route to wintering areas in South
America.  The hawkwatch will be carried out by Panamanian field
assistants and unpaid volunteers from North America and Europe.  Details
are not yet established.
