Folks: On the way home from seeing the Painted Bunting (lifer) at Normandale AND the Red Necked Phalarope (year bird) at Townsend's, I was driving through Thorndale and a large white mass in a tree caught my eye. By the time I could pull the truck over to the side, it had flown down into the river and began feeding. It turned out to be a Great Egret. It was in the river, north of the dam, north of number 2 highway in Thorndale. Thorndale is about 10 miles east of London on highway 2.
