A White Pelican was seen this evening flying by the Turkey Pt marsh and then sitting on the waters of Long Point Inner Bay. I had a look around 7:30 but there was no sign of the bird on the Bay. Hi Ontario, The Red Headed Woodpecker was sighted at 4:20 this afternoon perched on top of one of the utility poles at Whitby Mental Health Centre -WMHC as well as Northern Mockingbirds throughout the day. Directions: Take Highway # 12 south off Highway # 401 to Victoria St. and turn west till you reach Gordon St. Turn south till driving on to the property of WMHC and immediately to your right between Buildings # 30 & 28. If you keep driving further and keep right towards the new subdivision 3 - 4 Nothern Mockingbirds were flying back and forth catching insects and feeding their young between the courtyard of the Forensic Unit and new subdivision.
