Total observation time: 9 hours

Observers: Paul Cypher, Terry Angevine

Weather:
Today’s conditions were generally sunny with occasional cloudy periods,
particularly in the afternoon. Winds were strong and gusty for much of the
day out of the west-northwest.

Observations:
The flight was somewhat disorganized in the strong winds and the Turkey
Vulture groups were particularly challenging to keep track of as they
tacked back and forth to gain advantage in the wind. The TVs also did a
lot of flapping to avoid being pushed over the lake by the wind, a rather
interesting sight but perhaps not that unusual given the conditions.

In regards to passerines, of note were a couple of Pine Siskins and a
Lapland Longspur.
