Today. while checking through the thousand or so Canada Geese, a
smallish one stuck out like a sore thumb. About 3/4 the size of the
geese around it, very short, thick neck, with a very short stubby bill.
The head had a Ross's goose profile. The chest was light, like the geese
around it. I continued scanning through the flock for anything else but
found nothing. I was easily able to relocate the original bird, it was
that different. Also at the lagoons today were the following...

Am Golden Plover (4)
Black Bellied Plover (9)
American Pipits (3 or 4)
Pectoral Sandpipers
Dunlin
Ruddy
Widgeon
Tree Swallow
Shovellers
Lesser Scaup

Exeter lagoons are a mile and a quarter to the west of the intersection
of highways 4 and 83 approximately 30 miles north of London in Exeter.
Turn south at the cemetery which is Airport Line road and drive to the
second gate on the left. Park without blocking the entrance and walk in.
Just a reminder that you are required to possess and display on your
dashboard an annual permit that is obtained at the town office during
business hours at no cost. Town office is at the intersection of Main St
and Sanders St.

Good Birding..
