Winds were light southeast in the morning picking up to moderate in the afternoon. Observations: Overall the flight was light, being mostly an Accipiter event for much of the day. Perhaps the onset of the approaching weather system could explain the modest movement today. Even the omnipresent Turkey Vultures seemed to languish for long periods of time in the same area and I believe some groups even set down to the north of the count area soon after crossing. An adult Peregrine Falcon that flew directly over the watch provided an excellent highlight for those visiting the area. Predictions: Rain is forecast for Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. This should set up some movement for Sunday and early next week. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/
