These damp, wrong-wind, falling Barometric Pressure and low TUV-days have to end!! If so the raptors just may come through in "droves". The best bird at the Cranberry platform lately has been a Fox Sparrow, feeding with the 5 other species of sparrows. My legion of observers have also enjoyed several voles and shrews, along with a male Cardinal feeding a late-clutch immature. The Great Egrets (there have been up to 5 since late July) pop up peridically.
With a cold snap we hope to have Goshawks and Golden Eagles, in addition to the many Turkey Vultures that must be off to the east. Exit the 401 at Salem, south to Bayly, east through LakeRidge to the first street on the right (Hall's Rd.)-- south to the second roadside parking area just north of the lakefront.
