were seen tonight at Exeter lagoons:

Common Loon (1)
Hooded Merganser (5)
Red Breasted Merganser (2)
LONG TAILED DUCK (1)
Greater Yellowlegs (1)
Am Pipits (3)
Dunlin (about 10)
Great Blue Heron (1)
HORNED GREBE (1)
Red Head Duck (4)
Lesser Scaup
RingNecked Duck
Bufflehead (6)
Shoveler
Mallard
Ruddy Duck
Canada's
Redtail Hawk (2 flyover)

Exeter lagoons are a mile and a quarter to the west of the intersection
of highways 4 and 83 approximately 30 miles north of London in Exeter.
Turn south at the cemetery which is Airport Line road and drive to the
second gate on the left. Park without blocking the entrance and walk in.
Just a reminder that you are required to possess and display on your
dashboard an annual permit that is obtained at the town office during
business hours at no cost. Town office is at the intersection of Main St
and Sanders St.

Good Birding..

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Fred Kirn, Raburn Howland

Weather:
Today’s conditions continued overcast in keeping with the trend seen over
the last week or so. Winds were generally moderate from the
east-southeast.

Observations:
A good lift off of vultures took place from the general area that they were
seen to put down in north of the count area yesterday. Those numbers were
augmented by a steady flight of TVs for the remainder of the day. The rest
of the hawk flight was dominated by the largest Red-tail movement so far
this fall and included an adult Krider’s. The strong Rough-leg flight also
continued today and if these early numbers are any indication, the final
tally for this species should be impressive.

Also of note was the passage of half a dozen Monarchs.
