Hi everyone,

The Summer Tanager was feeding at the house on the North-west corner of
Starwood and Pender. We were there at about 1:30pm. The owners of the
house came out to talk with us for a while, and said we had just missed a
Cooper's Howk about and hour earlier. The hawk had been around before on
numerous occasions and they even saw it feeding on a chickadee the other
day.

We (Thomas Robertson & I) headed for the old burn area at Constance Bay and
saw the three Red-headed Woodpeckers. We also saw a Pileated Woodpecker fly
silently (?) through the woods. A raven flew overhead while we were
observing the Red-heads.

Good birding all. Directions below courtesy of Bruce De Labio
