Hi Folks,

This afternoon, around 5pm, I watched 2 Short-eared Owls flying in their
usual area on Earl Armstrong Rd, south of the airport. This area is on the
north side of the road between Limebank Rd and Bowesville Rd, more
specifically between the hydro tower line and the "s" curve.

Just east along Earl Armstrong Rd, at the pond near the former train tracks
were about 40 Common Mergansers and a pair of Green-winged Teal.

Also, a bit earlier, there were, among many Canada Geese, a pair of
Long-tailed Ducks, Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser and Bufflehead in the
pond a the Greeley Sand And Gravel on Old Prescott Rd, which is off Mitch
Owens / Hwy 8, just west of Hwy 31 / Bank St, south of Ottawa.

Happy Birding!
