Cold SW winds did not deter 30 visitors from London, Sarnia, Ottawa (via
Texas), Strathroy, Orillia and even Toronto, from visiting the south pathway
at Cranberry on Sunday, Nov.28. An imm. Cooper's Hawk appeared nearby
several times; shortly after he "flew away" the Tree Sparrows came up onto
the path to feed, followed shortly thereafter by 2 White-throateds, and then
the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW--22 consecutive days. Over 3 hours he appeared
for 1-3 minutes every 25-40 minutes.

The only migrating raptor was 1 early AM Rough-legged-- # 322 for the month
of November-- the highest previous total was 222 in 1991. CMRW closes down
officially on Nov.30, after which a few of us will endeavour to visit the
south and north pathways on a regular basis.

>From the west, exit 401 at Salem Rd. (in Ajax), south to Bayly, east through

Whitby, south to Victoria, west over to Hall's Rd.
