Eleanor Beagan just phoned to say that she and her sister Eileen Beagan saw a Great Gray Owl at 2:30 pm today along the south path between Halls Road and the hawkwatch site at Cranberry Marsh. This is near where the Golden-crowned Sparrow was first seen in November. Eleanor said they also saw a Barred Owl very along the north path off Halls Road to Cranberry Marsh.

Directions: Halls Road is in Whitby being the first road is of running south to Lake Ontario just east of Lake Ridge Road which is the border between Whitby and Ajax. From Toronto side of 401 exit Salem and in Whitby exit Brock (not Brock in Pickering). No more directions as I'm half way out the door to see this bird. I hope the OPP are at Tim Hortins.
