For those winter listers looking for a Great Blue Heron, one was seen at noon
today at the corner of Fox Run Road and Coterie Park Road south of Wheatley
Harbour.

Rob Dobos phoned about 12:20 p.m. to say that he had relocated the Great
Gray Owl reported last night in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area. Since
it is a large area the suggestion was to park at the end of Lions Club Road
in Ancaster. Walk into the Merrick Orchard and travel east on the Monarch
Trail . The bird was located on the Monarch Trail at the top of Groundhog
Hill about half way between the Merrick Orchard on the west side and
Maplewood Centre on the East Side. There are trail maps to the Dundas
Valley C.A. at the main trail centre off of Governors Road.

Directions:

>From the 403 take Mowhawk/Rousseaux Road into Ancaster. Go past Wilson
Street (#2) and the road becomes Old Dundas Road. Take Old Dundas Road to
Lions Club Road and follow Lions Club Road to the end. Follow directions
above.

Cheers,
Cheryl Edgecombe
