On this our second trip we missed it again. We were there from first light until heavy sleet at 10:00 forced us to quit. There were a few others there so I can't say definitely that it was not seen later.
I'm fairly sure that the bird is still there. Either one of two conditions seems to bring the bird into view. Sunshine, whether temperatures are warm or cool will bring it to the edge of the woodlot or the field. Snow could well bring it back to the feeder. We encourage people to keep looking and we ask that anyone who goes please report to this forum your results whether positive or negative.
