Ontbirds: Bill Lamond telephoned me this morning saying that there were 5 Gray Partridge near the Brantford Airport.
My wife and I went out to see them shortly after his call. They were located on the north side of Colborne St. W. (old Highway No. 53), opposite of MacGregor Rd., next to the Bluebird Bus property. This area can be reached by travelling south on Highway 24 (Rest Acres RD.) from Highway 403. Turn left (east) on Colborne St. at the traffic lights. Proceed to MacGregor Rd. which runs south from Colborne St. before you reach Airport Rd. going to the airport. I believe this is the first sighting of these birds this winter.
