Hello All,
I have just had a report from the hardy trio of Pete Read, Joan Taylor, and Ian Platt who left London last night to travel to the Sudbury area. They had good weather on the drive north and were the only birders on site this morning. They spotted the finch at 8:30 and again at 9:30 am today. They have asked me to slightly amend the directions as they ran into a bit of confusion. >From the Trans-Canada Highway 17 west of Sudbury at Lively, take Highway 144 (Northwest By-Pass) to Chelmsford. Continue north on County Road 15 AND FOLLOW IT PAST A BIG CURVE UNTIL YOU GET TO MONTEE PRINCIPALE. TURN ONTO MONTEE PRINCIPALE AND THEN RIGHT ONTO SEGUIN. THE BIRD IS AT THE FIRST HOUSE - #394. The weather up north appears to be better for driving then in Southern Ontario and as a result, the intrepid birders are looking for other interesting species as they slowly head south again. Good birding and drive carefully if you are out today! Sue Read
