This Friday morning of Jan.28 I observed the beauty of and witnessed flight behaviour and wood-copping techniques of both a male and female PILEATED WOODPECKER in the vicinity of the north pathway entrance. At the base of a tree near this entry was a Brown Creeper, and nearby -a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. A;long Hall's Rd. --3 Great Gray Owls.
In the Lynde Shores woodlot were 2 Barred Owls--1 red, 1 gray-brown >From the west exit 401 at Salem Rd. (in Ajax), south to Bayly, east through Lake Ridge Rd. to the first street (Hall's Rd.), south down to the parking areas. Lynde woodlot is accessed 0.3 km. further east from Hall's Rd.
