Today, February 2 at 2:00pm, we spotted a pair of pileated woodpeckers at
Bruce Pit in Ottawa. Bruce Pit (NCC) is near the Hunt Club exit off 416.
Later in the day around 4pm spotted a Great Gray Owl at the intersection of

Today Tracey Etwell and I saw a Great Gray Owl around 2.00 p.m.on Dufferin
about 1.5 km north of Hwy. 9 just south of the entrance to the Hunt Club
in an open tree. The point is that GGOWs can still be seen at midday in
bright sunlight.

Directions: Hwy 9 goes west from Yonge Street in Newmarket. Go as far as
Dufferin and turn right to just beyond the entrance to the Hunt Club.
