My job brought me unexpectedly to Whitby this afternoon, so I headed down
to Halls Road. At 1:40 pm, a beautiful barred owl was totally in the open on 
Halls Road directly beside the road and appeared undisturbed by myself and
a photographer. To the west, on Lakeridge Road, was a great gray owl.
Great viewing at such a late hour, but it was overcast and
the road very quiet as it was snowing.
