Hi Everyone
The birding today was very good around the Ottawa area. Along the Ottawa
River at Remic Rapids two male Barrow's Goldeneyes were observed feeding in
the rapids. Also in the area was a male Greater Scaup and an adult
Ring-billed Gull both spring migrants.
At least 2 Snowy Owls were seen along Eagleson Road and Fallowfield
Road area while the Northern Hawk-Owl was still present in the Gatineau Park
along trail 29/trail 5. A late afternoon check along March Valley Road yield
8 Great Gray Owls while 2 were seen along Huntmar Road near Richardson Side
Road.
