Since Monday, Feb.26, the Great Gray Owls along Hall's Rd. have not been
seen at the "recently-usual" early morning hours. Indeed, to my knowledge,
no more than 3 are being seen after 11a.m.!!! Is it a weather-factor,
photoperiod, decrease in vole population, change in behaviour prior to going
back north, ----!!!!--- I GUESS WHAT I AM SAYING IS THERE IS PERHAPS NO
"GUARANTEE" that you will see them in the wee hours of Saturday & Sunday
morns upcoming.

I was presented with 2 spectacular photos of the N.Hawk Owl (from the
Welcome area)--1 before, and 1 after--that is ,after several people decided
to get out of their car and walk up right underneath the wire-perched
bird--guess what happened--- ask me to show you the photo---IT IS VERY
REVEALING, AND ENOUGH TO MAKE PEOPLE REALIZE WHAT OWL-ENCROACHMENT DOES..

I have seen the Barred Owl as early as 7a.m., as late as 2p.m., along the
roadside. Another is sometimes seen within the Lynde Shores feeder trail
woods.

Thursday, Mar.3-- at the north end of Hall's Rd., in the fields-- 50 or more
Snow Buntings. At the north pathway feeding station--the male R-n Pheasant
shows itself periodically, as does the Red-bellied Woodpecker.

Hall's Rd. is entered south from Victoria St. in southwest Whitby.
