I am posting this on behalf of Dean Ware. On Saturday March 19 from early morning to early afternoon, Dean observed the following in the Hillman marsh shore bird habitat:
Male Eurasian Wigeon A hybrid Green Winged Teal x Mallard An adult Peregrine Falcon (which was disturbing the ducks and red wing black birds). There are a large number of other waterfowl species in the shore bird habitat for observation. The Hillman Marsh Conservation Area is the southeast corner of Essex County. Hillman Marsh can be reached by taking Oak Street East from Leamington, or County Rd 37 south from County Rd 34 between Leamington and Wheatley.
