My sister and I saw a male ring-necked pheasant in the corn field on the east side of Hall's Road in Whitby today at about 1pm.

Clarification (or not) from an earlier posting: I posted seeing some common and hoary redpolls in the west end of Port Hope on Christmas Day. Some experts have since examined the photos I took and can't confirm that the hoaries were in fact hoaries, but also can't say definitively that they weren't. So their identification remains undetermined. Redpolls they certainly were.

To get to Hall's Road take the 401 to Brock Street exit. Drive south to Victoria Street, turn right and drive about a kilometre to Hall's Road. Salem Road exit will also get you there. Go south to the new housing development with the gas station and Tim Horton's on the corner (it's the same street as Victoria but has a different name) and drive east to Hall's Road.
