Hi Ontbirders, Visiting Queen's University Biological Station along Opinicon Rd. near Chaffey's Locks today Wednesday afternoon I noted a few new arrivals: Ring-necked Ducks, Osprey, 40+ Turkey Vultures, two pairs of Red-shouldered Hawks, American Kestrel, a pair of Ruffed Grouse, Northern Flicker, 15+ Eastern Phoebes, 10+ Tree Swallows, 3 male Eastern Bluebirds, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Brown Creepers, Golden-crowned kinglets, a first-winter Northern Shrike and 3 Eastern Meadowlark. Monday morning, a long-staying Great Gray Owl was still reported present at its regular site near the bottom of Opinicon Rd.
