Friendly birders,

Although Iceland Gulls (Kumlien's) are regular spring visitors to the Tip of
Long Point they are rarely seen from the mainland. This afternoon a beautiful
adult was poised on top of one of the floating logs viewed from the Causeway of
Hwy # 59 just coming onto Long Point. For anyone birding in the area, it is
always worthwhile to double check the gulls as Lesser Black-backed has also
been reported at the Tip. This is also one of the best spots, next to Turkey
Point, to pick up Little Gulls which have been spotted almost daily for the
past week.

Old Cut was a bustle of activity this morning with tons of Brown Creepers
moving through and a fair number of Hermit Thrushes. Two Pine Warblers (one
stunning male and one drab female) were bouncing around the woodlot this
morning along with one or two Myrtles. Rusty Blackbirds and Fox Sparrows are
also a delightful regular.

On a shorebird note, 3 Dunlin flew over the Old Cut field station today and
there have been a few flocks of Greater Yellowlegs (>15) spotted in the last
week.
